SILVER DOLLARS 3/12/2013
Captains Journal:
This was a trip during one of the roughest days of the year. Cold front came ripping through and I called the client out of respect and safety. I called 3 times. They wanted to go. So we picked up and went south for a day of some warm water fishing. Boy did we tear it up! 23 FAT OLD POMPANO!!! tons of other snapper, captain catfish, and all sorts of rays but it was fun! We got hammered by either a cobia or shark. That fight did not last very long! But take a look at all the silver dollars! This picture is of 11 fish. The client took some home and I gave some to a nice old lady at the ramp. She was telling stories about picking up fresh pompano when she was a kid so I had to oblige!
