St. Petersburg Fishing Charters
Private, guided trips for tarpon, snook, redfish, shark, grouper and more, launching from St. Petersburg area ramps. Rods, tackle, bait and fishing licenses are all provided.
St. Petersburg sits on the west side of Tampa Bay, close to some of the best fishing in the whole system. The lower bay, the Sunshine Skyway, the flats around Tierra Verde and Fort De Soto, and the passes toward the Gulf are all a short run from St. Pete ramps. Shallow Point Charters launches from several St. Petersburg area locations, so you can start your trip close to where you are staying.
Captain David Beede runs private, guided St. Petersburg fishing charters for tarpon, snook, redfish, shark, grouper, and more. You bring food, drinks, and sunscreen. We handle the rest.
Fishing Out of St. Petersburg
The St. Pete side of the bay has a lot going for it. Deeper water and stronger tidal flow near the mouth of the bay bring bait and the fish that feed on it. Shallow grass flats and mangrove shorelines sit just a short run away for sight-casting. And because you are on the Pinellas side, nearshore trips out toward the Gulf start closer to the pass when conditions allow.
That mix means you can match the trip to the day. Calm and clear, we can work the flats for redfish and snook. Strong tide and bait, we can fish the deeper edges for sharks and bigger fish. Captain Dave reads the wind, tide, and water that morning and picks the spot.
