Clearwater Fishing Charters
Private, guided trips for snook, redfish, trout, tarpon, shark, grouper and more, launching from Clearwater. Rods, tackle, bait and fishing licenses are all provided.
Clearwater is one of the best places on Florida's west coast to get on the water. Between the calm, protected waters inside the barrier islands and the open Gulf just past the passes, there is a lot of fishing within reach. Shallow Point Charters launches from Clearwater, so your trip starts close to the beach, your hotel, and the fish.
Captain David Beede runs private, guided Clearwater fishing charters for snook, redfish, trout, tarpon, shark, grouper, and more. He has fished tournaments around Tampa Bay and Clearwater, and he knows how these waters change with the tide, the wind, and the season. You bring food, drinks, and sunscreen. We handle the rest.
Fishing Out of Clearwater
Clearwater gives you two very different kinds of fishing close together. Inside the passes, shallow grass flats, mangrove edges, and channels hold snook, redfish, and trout, and they are comfortable water for families and beginners. Outside, deeper water brings sharks and, when the weather cooperates, bottom fish like grouper and snapper.
Because Captain Dave picks the spot each morning based on tide, wind, and water conditions, you are not locked into one style of trip. Calm day, we can sight-cast the flats. Bigger tide and plenty of bait, we can go after the heavier fish.
Want to fish the south side of the bay instead? See our St. Petersburg fishing charters or our main Tampa Bay fishing charters page.
